Course Overview

Is your work team resilient? How do they handle stress, deadlines, and pressure?

This course is designed to equip team leaders, supervisors, and managers with essential knowledge and skills to cultivate a mentally healthy workplace and effectively support their teams. By understanding the fundamentals of resilience and mental health, leaders can identify common workplace stressors and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.

Participants will learn practical strategies to reduce workplace stress and identify and manage their top emotional triggers, fostering healthier emotional responses. Emphasising a resilient team culture through support, open communication, and learning from failures is integral to enhancing team cohesion and performance while promoting mental well-being across the organisation.

By implementing these principles and practices, organisations can create environments where team members feel supported and empowered, leading to increased resilience, improved performance, and overall well-being.

Duration and Delivery

This course offers two options:

  • a full-day (8 hours)
  • a half-day (4 hours)

Both options are available either as face-to-face sessions for up to 18 participants or as virtual sessions for up to 9 participants.

Course Customisation

To ensure our training meets the specific needs of your organisation, our Instructional Design Team will facilitate a virtual meeting to customise and contextualise the content.

This includes the activities in line with your workplace procedures and practices, and develop suitable activities, scenarios, and workplace application strategies to ensure meaningful outcomes.

  • Workbook – a take-away workbook of content, activities and notes from the workshop
  • Customisation is included in the course cost

Optional Extra

We recommend an eLearning module be completed by participants prior to the workshop. This pre-learning will provide the underpinning knowledge for theorists and reflectors and allow the session to be more practical and application based (at additional cost)

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the concept of resilience and its role in coping with adversity and challenges
  • Utilise the Circles of Concern vs Circle of Control to focus on what you can influence
  • Develop your emotional areas of improvement by understanding the 5 Dimensions of Emotional Intelligence
  • Develop stress management strategies to reduce stress
  • Identify your top emotional triggers and develop alternative emotional responses
  • Understand the Stages of Team Development – forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning.
  • Review the 5 C’s of Resilience – Control, Commitment, Challenge, Connections, Confidence and the 10 Factors of Resilience
  • Foster a resilient team culture by promoting support, open communication, and learning from failures
