Course Overview

Conducting difficult conversations is a key responsibility for team leaders, supervisors, and managers, but it’s rarely comfortable. This course is designed to equip participants with the understanding, empathy, and active listening skills needed to effectively manage such conversations.

Participants will learn strategies to mitigate biases and handle challenging emotions, fostering a positive work environment even during tough discussions. While difficult conversations cannot always be avoided, this course empowers leaders to navigate them successfully, achieving the most positive outcomes possible.

The course also emphasises the importance of preparation and follow-up, ensuring that difficult conversations lead to meaningful and lasting improvements. By building confidence and competence in handling these challenging interactions, leaders can maintain trust and respect within their teams, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more productive workplace.

Duration and Delivery

This course offers two options:

    • a full-day (8 hours)
    • a half-day (4 hours)

Both options are available either as face-to-face sessions for up to 18 participants or as virtual sessions (half-day only) for up to 9 participants

    Course Customisation

To ensure our training meets the specific needs of your organisation, our Instructional Design Team will facilitate a virtual meeting to customise and contextualise the content and activities in line with your workplace procedures and practices, and develop suitable activities, scenarios, and workplace application strategies to ensure meaningful outcomes.

    Course Inclusions

    • Workbook – a take-away workbook of content, activities and notes from the workshop
